When people shop for a truck camper, they usually see the finished product; the clean install, the sleeping setup, the lighting, the storage, and the adventure photos. What they don’t always see is everything that happens behind the scenes before a Roamify camper is ever mounted onto a truck.
One of the most common questions we receive is:
“How are your campers actually built and tested?”
So we figured we’d answer it properly.
At Roamify, our goal has never been to build a camper that only looks good in photos. Every decision during manufacturing is based around one thing:
Can this survive real use, real weather, and real travel?
That means focusing on:
Every camper goes through a structured production process where components are assembled, fitted, sealed, wired, and inspected before final installation.
We pay particular attention to:
Truck campers experience constant vibration, flex, moisture, temperature swings, and rough terrain. Small shortcuts during manufacturing become big problems later - which is why we spend the extra time dialing in details before a camper ever leaves the shop.

A camper shouldn’t be “tested” by the customer after delivery.
We believe testing needs to happen long before that.
Our campers are continuously evaluated in conditions that mimic how people actually use them:
We specifically monitor:
The reality is that a truck camper experiences far more stress than most RVs because it moves with the truck chassis. Flex, twisting, washboard roads, potholes, wind, and weather all add up quickly. Testing in controlled conditions only tells part of the story — which is why real-world use matters so much. Each and every camper is sealed in our Abbotsford facility, water tested for 6 hours, and thoroughly inspected to ensure every camper is up to our standards
.
Before delivery, every Roamify camper goes through a detailed quality control inspection.
This is one of the most important stages in the process because it allows us to catch small issues before customers ever see them.
Our QC inspections include checks such as:
Even small things matter during QC. A loose latch, a misaligned seal, or improperly secured wiring can become frustrating problems later on. Our inspection process is designed to reduce those issues before customers head out on their first trip.
.
We don’t believe campers should only live in a showroom.
Our units have been tested across a wide range of conditions including:
British Columbia alone gives us access to an incredible range of terrain and weather, which has been valuable during development and testing.
From heavy rain in the Pacific Northwest to colder overnight mountain conditions, we’ve been able to evaluate how the campers perform in environments that are actually demanding.
The goal is simple:
We want customers to feel confident using their camper beyond paved campgrounds.

A truck camper is a major investment, and reliability matters far more than flashy marketing.
The manufacturing process, testing standards, and QC inspections behind a camper directly affect:
At Roamify, we’re constantly refining our builds based on feedback, field testing, and real-world usage. Every camper we produce helps improve the next one.
Because at the end of the day, these campers aren’t meant to sit in storage — they’re built to be used.
