Tim's Roamify Camper Build Out
Share
Tim purchased a Roamify Camper in December of 2025 and by the first week of January 2026 we were able to provide a stock unit for his 2013 Toyota Tacoma 6ft box. Since having his camper installed, Tim has been able to travel around the Golden and Rockies area.
"Overall, I’ve been really enjoying the camper. The quality, fit, and overall design have been exactly what I’d hoped for, and it’s been performing extremely well in real-world conditions. I’ve already taken it out on quite a few off-road winter trips here in the Rockies, down to about –17°C, and it’s been a solid and reliable platform for cold-weather camping when paired with an appropriate heating setup".

"I’ve also been very impressed with how solid the camper setup feels on the truck. I’ve done some serious snow wheeling so far, and it’s never felt like it’s shifted or been off-balance. Compared to the fiberglass canopy I had before, I barely notice it on the truck.
Since receiving it, I’ve built out a lightweight, modular interior conversion that turns the camper into a walk-in setup...
The interior setup includes:
-
A walk-in layout with integrated storage and an L-shaped bench
-
Approximately 300Ah of total auxiliary power for various household power uses
-
A Bluetti system powering Starlink and other electronics, charging directly off the truck or via an optional generator and/or solar
-
A custom countertop module that integrates:
-
A sink and dedicated water system with a 60-litre tank, RV pump, and a separate 100Ah battery powering the pump, chargers, and lights (this also doubles as an outdoor shower with a pull-out faucet and 360° rotation)
-
A small rear “garage” storage area for a Honda inverter generator, fuel, a backup heater, and other gear
-
Cupboards for pots and pans, dry food, a propane stove, and general overlanding equipment
-
-
Custom wood-burned and stained interior panels throughout, including cabinet doors and storage panels, which add a personal touch and are visible throughout the build
One thing I’ve been especially happy with is how well everything fits together while staying lightweight and fully removable. The entire interior is modular, fits tightly within the camper, and is only secured using two ratchet straps, so it can be installed or removed quickly without any modifications to the camper itself.
Overall, the Roamify shell has been an excellent foundation for this type of build, and it’s been exciting to see how adaptable the design is for different interior concepts. I’ve had an incredibly fun time designing and building this setup."
