Built for the Cold: How Roamify Campers Handle Winter Like a Pro
Share
Winter camping isn’t for the unprepared. Freezing temperatures, heavy snow, and biting wind can turn a great trip into a miserable one—unless your gear is built for it. At Roamify, we didn’t design our campers to survive the cold… we built them to thrive in it.
From BC deep freezes to windy mountain passes, our campers have been tested in real Canadian winters, down to -25°C, through snowfalls and high winds. Here’s how both our Dual Wedge and Hard-Wall campers keep you warm, dry, and comfortable when the temperature drops.

Dual Wedge Camper: Lightweight, Warm, and Winter-Ready
The Dual Wedge camper proves that you don’t need heavy insulation to stay warm—you just need smart design.
Its angled wedge structure naturally helps trap heat, and when paired with a diesel heater, it becomes an incredibly efficient cold-weather setup. To make that even easier, we’ve introduced diesel heater ports that securely lock your hose in place, sealing out cold air while keeping warmth circulating inside your tent.
This system has been tested in freezing BC and Alberta winters, and it performs.
To keep your Dual Wedge running at its best in colder conditions:
- Lubricate locks every few months to prevent freezing or stiffness
- Air out your tent periodically during the off-season to avoid moisture buildup
With just a bit of upkeep, the Dual Wedge becomes a reliable, lightweight option for winter adventurers who still want mobility and simplicity.

Hard-Wall Camper: Maximum Protection, Maximum Comfort
If you’re looking for the ultimate winter camper, the Hard-Wall is it.
Built with pre-insulated aluminum walls, this camper is designed to hold heat and block out the harshest elements. Snow, wind, and sub-zero temps are no match for its rigid structure. Unlike soft-sided setups, the Hard-Wall creates a sealed, protected environment that keeps warmth in and cold out.
And if you want to take comfort even further, you can add a diesel heater port—giving you full control over your interior climate no matter how extreme it gets outside.
This is our best-performing winter camper, hands down.
